This is me

Charlene is a blessed vocalist, songwriter and performer who has graced stages during concerts, competitions/showcases and plays internationally.

Charlene has studied classical, gospel and soul music and is a trained ballet, hip hop and jazz dancer. Recently, Charlene toured with an R&B Review in the United Arab Emirates and was also in the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar Gospel at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA.

Charlene’s captivating performance, vocals and ability through lyrics and song to connect in a most compelling way has afforded her opportunities to pay tribute to Alice Walker, Jester Hairston and to share the stage with notable greats such as Eric Roberson, Mike Phillips, Jeffrey Osbourne, Bebe and CeCe Winans, The Delfonics and Blue Magic.

A graduate of Tufts University, where she studied English and Music, and successful completion of several music and vocal performance courses at Berklee College of Music, Charlene has received many notable awards and opportunities, including 1st and 2nd place in the NAACP’s, ACT-SO Competition for classical and contemporary vocal performance, a 3-time 1st place winner in Showtime at the Apollo and background vocalist for Jeffrey Osbourne. Charlene has also been featured in several showcases in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.
